Has anyone ever been to a red carpet in a award show?

Have u ever been apart of the crowd of fans standing behind the gate getting autographs by celebrities on the red carpet? Share your experience cause I wanna do the same but i dont know what time to get there so i can be in front. What time did you get there? Were there a lot of people when you go there? How was it arranged?
